(All reviews are the personal and probably biased view of the author. If you find anything in the reports offensive then you are taking it too seriously. It is, after all, only a game)
Some good football was played by both teams in the first half with Brantham taking the lead after 28 minutes when Jason Pembroke played an excellent ball to Joe Graffham on the right, Joe switched play to Edward Nobbs on the left and a one-two with Jamie Nunn allowed Ed to power a shot into the corner of the net. Brantham were probably worth their one nil half-time lead. Within a minute of the restart Brantham were two up when Ed Nobbs and Jamie Nunn combined well on the left before Jamie knocked in a superb cross for Joe Graffham to direct his header wide of the keeper.
The tide appeared to turn when Ipswich Warriors were awarded a penalty as
defenders jostled for the bal but Alex McGregor, in the Brantham goal, managed to block
the penalty and grab the rebound. Brantham continued to ride the storm as Warriors pressed
forward more and with ten minutes to go Alex McGregor rushed from his goal and was
adjudged to have impeded the Warriors forward and this time the penalty was put hard and
low beyond the Brantham keeper to make it 1-2. Warriors continued to trouble the tiring
Brantham defence and equalised with five minutes left. The match could still have gone
either way but the final result was an exciting and well contested 2-2 draw.

Brantham went in at half time 1-0 up when a Josh Bryan cross was knocked back by
Joe Graffham and Josh Bedingfield lobbed powerfully over the stranded keeper and the match
was still finely balanced with Kirton having had several good chances.
Ten minutes into the second half Jamie Nunn found Edward Nobbs who crossed for Thomas
Dayman to coolly lift his shot over the keeper. Edward Nobbs then knocked the ball high
into the area allowing Josh Bryan to scramble the ball over the line. As Kirton pressed
forward more Joe Graffham put an excellent pass through for Jamie Nunn to make it 4-0.
Five minutes later Jamie Nunn returned the favour with a defence splitting pass that Joe
Graffham knocked over the advancing keeper. Edward Nobbs then completed the scoring when
he latched on to an excellent kick from Alex McGregor.

Lost 2-0 to a very good side, Woodbridge were very diciplined, strong and fit.
We created several good chances but could not score, never really tested their keeper.
Despite Ed not playing the midfield worked hard with Josh Maloney and Josh Bedingfield
outstanding, defensively James Dorling was once again superb and Luke Catchpole had his
best game of the season so far. Alex made one excellent save and looked quite comfortable
as Woodbridge were limited to shots from distance and his goalkicks were very good.
Brantham did not do a lot wrong, we still gave players too long on the ball sometimes and
we were tiring towards the end. Both goals were fairly scrappy and on another day with a
bit more luck the result might have been better.

Brantham took the lead after 30 minutes with a wonderful goal when Luke
Bedingfield won the ball in his own half and found Jamie Nunn on the left, Jamie picked
Joe Graffham out with a great pass and Joe cut inside a couple of defenders before
unleashing a superb strike into the top right corner.
Eleven minutes into the second half Kenny Dayman's throw fooled the defence and Jamie Nunn
latched onto it before placing his shot just inside the far post.
Brantham were then awarded a penalty when a defender handled a cross but Ed Nobbs' spot
kick was saved by the keeper.
With five minutes left Jason Pembroke raced onto a through ball to go one-on-one with the
Capel keeper, as he lobbed the ball over the advancing keeper the goalie blocked the ball
with his hands outside the area and was red-carded. The ensuing free-kick was taken by
Harry Licence and was well saved by the replacement goalie.

Whitton took the lead after 5 minutes when Alex saved but the defence could not
clear the ball allowing a simple tap-in. After 10 minutes some good work from Josh Maloney
allowed him to cross left footed for Joe Graffham to have his shot blocked on the line by
a defender for Jamie Nunn to force over the line. Whitton regaineds the lead on 22 minutes
when Alex McGregor made a good save but was stranded as he followed the ball out allowing
a tap-in to the empty goal. Whitton added another after 28 minutes and a fourth on the
stroke of half-time to make it 4-1.
Whitton carried on where they left off adding a fifth after 38 minutes before Jamie Nunn
raced clear on 42 minutes to bury a shot in the far corner, within a minute Josh Maloney
won a strong challenge and put an excellent cross in for Jamie Nunn to tap in from close
range to make it 5-3. Two minutes later Whitton scored their sixth to end Brantham's fight
back before scoring again in the 56th and 61st minutes making the final score 8-3 to
Whitton.

Brantham took the lead on 8 minutes when Ed found Jamie Nunn on the left,
Jamie's cross was missed by a defender and Joe lobbed the ball powerfully over the keeper.
Kesgrave equalised four minutes later when a good cross was diverted into the goal off
Jamie Glenn's head. Within 2 minutes Kesgrave took the lead when a good through ball was
curled nicely around Alex in the Brantham goal. Joe Graffham then evened things up with a
shot low and hard in the right hand corner.
After 15 minutes of the second half Kesgrave made it 2-3. With three minutes remaining
Jason Pembroke was pushed in the back and a penalty was awarded to Brantham, Joe Graffham
was confident and put the ball hard to the left to complete his hat-trick.

Brantham took the lead after 20 minutes when a corner on the right was flicked
across the face of the goal by James Glen and Jamie Nunn scored from close range. Brantham
had a number of good chances including three excellent shots from Josh Maloney all of
which were brilliantly saved by the Knodishall keeper but it was not until the final
minute that Harry Licence made sure of the 3 points following a pinball session in front
of the Knodishall goal.

The first half was fairly even until a defensive mix up allowed Felixstowe a
tap-in into an empty net in the 26th minute. Felixstowe's confidence grew from that moment
and they dominated the early part of the second half adding a second goal. Brantham then
pressed on and continued to work hard but could not score. Felixstowe added their third
for a fairly flattering 3-0 win.

Do not want to talk about it!! After 50 minutes score = 2-0 After 59
minutes score = 2-3!!! Became too complacent and stopped working as a team.

1-0 down at half time. 2-1 up 3 minutes into second half , further 2 goals in a
minute later on. Good team performance especially Josh Maloney and Jason in second half,
Joe throughout. Luke cleared off line Jamie Glen making solid debut in goal.

A bad day at the office! Luke Catchpole, Josh Maloney and Thomas Dayman missing

Brantham had all the early pressure with Joe Graffham crashing an early shot
against the crossbar and took the lead when Josh Bedingfield slotted a neat ball behind
the Kirton defence for Josh Maloney to run onto and hit hard over the keeper. Despite
heavy Brantham pressure the half time score remained at 1-0 due to some inspired
goalkeeping from Kirton coupled with the Kirton goal seeming to have a charmed life.
Eight minutes into the second half Kirton drew level when the strong wind caused a shot to
drift high over Alex McGregor's head and drop under the crossbar. Both teams then created
many chances with both goalkeepers keeping the score level. With 3 minutes of time left
Jamie Nunn finally scored the goal that he had thoroughly deserved for his all round play
to make it Kirton 1 Brantham 2.

Very professional performance in appalling weather conditions - cold, very wet,
windy and muddy pitch. Whole team played extremely well against a weakened opposition. Ed
Nobbs got a hat trick, Luke Bedingfield got two, Joe Graffham got two Jamie Nunn got
one(and denied another by a superb save) and Josh Bedingfield got one. Too wet and windy
to make notes!

Wow! great game, end to end, seven goals, fantastic result.
An even better team performance than the last one against a very good footballing side!
Brantham took the lead after 10 minutes when Josh Bedingfield knocked a dangerous ball
into the penalty area which ran to Ed Nobbs to bury from a tight angle on the left. Within
a minute Whitton A equalised when a fantastic through ball split the defence open. Within
another minute Jamie Nunn hit a superb shot over the keeper with his RIGHT foot. In the
17th minute Ed Nobbs won the ball with a strong challenge and rifled a cross across the
goal mouth for Jamie Nunn to side-foot home with his RIGHT foot from close range. Brantham
then held on until the 36th minute when an excellently struck shot from distance was too
powerful for Alex McGregor to keep out making it 3-2 at half time.
Six minutes into the second half Whitton equalised when one of their dangerous corners was
deflected in to level the score at 3-3. In the 14th minute of the second half Joe Graffham
did well to win possession and find Jamie Nunn on the left, Jamie rolled the ball back for
Ed Nobbs to smash home high over the keeper.
Whitton A continued to press and in one goal mouth scramble there were 3 shots on target
that were somehow knocked away by desperate defending. Both sides continued to play good
football and create goal scoring chances but the final score remained 4-3 to Brantham.

Goalkeeper crisis before kick-off affected everyone's concentration. One nil
down after 2 minutes from a long range shot then 2-0 down after 16 minutes when 5
attackers ran through on goal. Poor performance from us and a very good offside trap from
Lawford. Josh Maloney and Jamie Nunn provided the goals in an improved second half
performance.
Never an easy team to play against, both had chances but half time score was 0-0.
17 minutes into the second half Jamie Nunn found Jason Pembroke in the penalty
area and he knocked it back for Joe Graffham to place superbly just inside the right hand
post for a cracking goal. Five minutes later Kenny floated a ball over the defence and Joe
Graffham ran onto it and guided it skillfully into the net on the volley.

Bourne Vale closed down well and stifled any free-flowing Brantham play until in the 33rd minute Josh Bedingfield headed a goal kick back towards the Bourne Vale end and when the defender skewed his clearance Jason Pembroke ran onto it and placed the ball carefully wide of the advancing keeper to give Brantham the lead.
In the second half the ball fell to Matthew Longson 20 minutes into his first
game and he buried it low in the left hand corner. Four minutes later Joe Graffham smashed
the ball into the top right corner from the edge of the penalty area to score arguably the
best of the three very good Brantham goals. With a few minutes remaining Bourne Vale
pulled a goal back to make the final result 3-1 to Brantham. The Brantham performance was
solid but Bourne Vale prevented them playing their usual passing game, Alex McGregor was
awarded man of the match with some excellent goal kicks and one particularly good save in
the first half. Josh Bryan and James Dorling played very well in defence and Josh Maloney
proved his versatility by filling in at left back and looking extremely comfortable there.
Matthew Longson did not look like a new-comer and took his goal very well. Joe Graffham
also looked impressive as the playmaker in midfield and made a couple of very important
tackles and when combined with another stunning goal he can consider himself unlucky to
miss out on man of the match.

Luke Catchpole scored his first goal of the season following a Joe Graffham corner after 13 minutes. On 25 minutes Josh Bedingfield laid the ball back to the edge of the penalty area for Josh Maloney to score in the bottom left corner.
Fifteen minutes into the second half Matthew Longson had a shot blocked but Jamie Nunn turned sharply and buried the shot in the bottom left corner with his right foot. Martlesham were still creating chances and made it 3-1 on 55 minutes with a shot high into the corner that gave Alex McGregor no chance. Then Brantham scored probably the goal of the match when Ed Nobbs went on another of his marauding runs down the left, skipping past 3 defenders before finding Luke Bedingfield who found Matthew Longson who laid the ball off for Jamie Nunn to loop the ball sweetly over the keeper with his right foot to make it 4-1 to Brantham. Martlesham then pulled another goal back when James Dorling did really well to chase back and win possession inside his own penalty area but then was caught in possession leaving an easy chance. The scoring was completed when Joe Graffham knocked in another perfect corner and a Martlesham player mis-kicked to send the ball into his own net off the cross bar.
Josh Maloney also hit a post and Jamie Nunn had a shot cannon off the crossbar.
Man of the match went to Luke Catchpole for a good defensive display - mopping up
everything at the back. Jamie Nunn also worked extremely hard and the interplay with Ed
Nobbs was a delight to watch. Joe Graffham also worked hard up front without getting his
just rewards and his corner taking was excellent throughout. All round a good team effort
against a strong and resolute team who battled and closed down very well.

Felixstowe are currently top of the league and it showed, the encouraging factor
was that we still created chances and were never totally overrun. Conceded the first goal
after 22 minutes and the second one minute before half-time. Played some good football in
patches Ed was a live wire down the left, Joe and Jamie Nunn played well without getting
any reward. Kenny came on at half time and looked very solid at left back, Alex had to be
alert and came off his line on a number of occasions to clear the danger. The score-line
could have been higher for both teams. We will get our revenge next season!

Claydon took a well earned lead after 12 minutes when a corner from the right was headed in by an unmarked player and the score remained that way at half-time helped to some extent by some good saves from the Claydon keeper. Six minutes into the second half Jason Pembroke knocked the ball back to Luke Catchpole on the edge of the area and Luke smashed it home to even the score. Five minutes later Joe Graffham's clever pass put Jason Pembroke through and he calmly side-footed it wide of the keeper to give Brantham the lead. Josh Maloney then put an excellent ball through for Joe Graffham to run onto and lift over the keeper. Ed Nobbs then went on one of his runs down the left and crossed the ball for Jason Pembroke to head home. Jason completed his hat trick when Josh Bedingfield found him with his back to goal and Jason managed to flick the ball up with his right foot and score with a left foot volley. Josh Bedingfield added the sixth when Josh Maloney passed to him and he then proceeded to run through and drive home from the right hand side.
The first Brantham goal settled nerves a bit after a poor first half
performance, Josh Bedingfield was back to his old self - strong, committed and determined
and just about managed to eclipse another good display from Josh Bryan. Jason did well in
midfield and got a complete hat trick - left foot, right foot and header - the three
players that came on at half time all performed admirably - Ed, Kenny and Josh Maloney
while James Dorling and Luke Catchpole were as solid as ever.

A close game played in a very strong wind, Ipswich Warriors took the lead after 10 minutes and were denied a second just before half time when Alex McGregor made a great save to keep the game alive. Brantham came stronger in the second half and played some nice football in spells and got an equaliser after 24 minutes of the second half when Jamie Nunn put an excellent cross over, Josh Bryan had his shot cleared but Josh Bedingfield placed his shot in the bottom corner with the outside of his LEFT foot. Both sides had more chances until in the last minute Warriors hit a fantastic shot that went in the top left corner, possibly assisted by the strong wind but it was the sort of goal that should always win a cup game and so it proved. The outstanding players on both teams were the defenders and James Dorling took the Brantham man of the match with another commanding performance in central defence.
Overall it was another good team performance despite the bad weather conditions
against another very good side.

Jamie Nunn scored the first goal after 7 minuteswhen he ran onto a through ball, took it on and buried his shot. On ten minutes Jason Pembroke ran through on the right and placed his shot in the opposite corner. Josh Maloney scored in the eleventh minute when he placed the ball in the bottom right corner with the outside of his foot. Within another minute Josh Maloney knocked another good ball through for Jamie Nunn to add his second. Josh Maloney then set up Jamie Nunn again with an excellent volleyed pass over the top of the defence for Jamie Nunn to complete his hat trick. Jason Pembroke then completed the first half scoring when Josh Maloney found him wide on the right and Jason then curled a shot high into the far corner.
Two minutes into the second half Josh Maloney scored his second after good work by Jamie Nunn. Jamie Nunn then scored his fourth in the top left corner. After 15 minutes Ed Nobbs went on another of his runs down the left and put an excellent cross in which a Claydon defender put in his own net. After 18 minutes James Dorling found Luke Bedingfield in a congested penalty area and Luke scored his first of the game. After 23 minutes Claydon gave away a penalty which goalkeeper Alex McGregor struck hard and low for his first goal of the season. Two minutes later Matthew Longson did well down the right wing and picked out Craig Lock who side footed home. Two minutes later Claydon scored a goal of their own when a wonderfully struck shot flew high over Alex in the Brantham goal from a long way out. Josh Bedingfield then scored an excellent individual goal when he weaved through the Claydon defence and scored just inside the right post. After a goal mouth scramble James Dorling ended up laying on the ground but when the ball came near him he still managed to smash the ball home. The scoring was completed when Kenny Dayman crossed from the right and Luke Catchpole tucked the ball in at the far post.
Yet another good team performance with Jamie Nunn scoring 4 goals, Josh Maloney,
Jason Pembroke and Josh Bedingfield putting some fantastic passes through for the forwards
to run onto. Alex made one particularly good save, had consistently good kicks and scored
a goal, but the man of the match went to Joe Graffham who did everything but
score.

Things went from bad to worse after 2 minutes of the second half when Bourne Vale had an shot from a long way out that hit the underside of the bar and crossed the line before bouncing out again. Within another 7 minutes another high ball caught Alex McGregor stranded as it dropped into the back of the net to make the score 4-1.
Then the come back began as Brantham started to play their own game with some great movement and passing which brought its first reward when Jason Pembroke played a clever back-heel pass to Josh Bryan who threaded the ball through for Joe Graffham to round the keeper and tap the ball home to make it 4-2 with 15 minutes remaining. Within another minute another good move was ended when Josh Bedingfield knocked a delightful ball back for Jamie Nunn to strike superbly just inside the left hand post. Five minutes later Jamie Nunn had another shot parried by the keeper but reacted well and buried the rebound first time. With five minutes of the game left Jamie Nunn ran onto another through ball on the right hand side and despite a bit of a miskick the ball curled around the keeper to make the final score Bourne Vale 4 Brantham 5.
Man of the match went to Jason Pembroke for some excellent midfield
running and passing throughout with special mentions for Josh Bryan and of course
hat-trick hero (yet again) Jamie Nunn.

Kesgrave were the stronger team in the first half and out battled the Brantham team in all areas of the pitch. Kesgrave scored their first after 13 minutes when Josh Bryan did well to clear the first attempt but Kesgrave reacted first. The second came after 30 minutes when a shot was hit from distance and caught Alex McGregor too far off his line to recover. In the second half Brantham upped their game and had more of the possession without creating enough goal scoring efforts.
Second half performance was much improved with Jamie Nunn getting stuck-in well. Last game for the twins - Thomas and Kenny will will be missed next season - good luck to them both in next year's under 13s - we expect them to shine even more!
Kesgrave are certainly a team that will be challenging at the very top of the
division next season judging by this performance.

Brantham had all of the play for the first 20 minutes with all shots seeming to be either off target or straight at the goalkeeper, then a Brantham back pass allowed Martlesham to skip round the keeper to score into an empty net. Still Brantham played some good flowing football but just could not score and the defence were caught in possession after 32 minutes allowing Martlesham to score their second.
Six minutes into the second half Alex scuffed a goal kick and Martlesham reacted first, smashing the ball into the top left corner. Brantham still continued to press but it was Martlesham's dayand their cheers got even louder when they learned that the other results meant that they had avoided relegation.
